#CherryJuice: Kanye Attempts To Clear Up ‘Slavery Was a Choice’ Comment

Oh brother! It looks like Kanye is back to his old antics.

On Tuesday (May 1st) Yeezy appeared on TMZ Live with Harvey Levin and Charles Latibeaudiere, to clarify his actions on social media, as well as, explain why he is a Trump supporter. The interview is indeed entertaining but yet disappointing. The self-proclaimed genius spills on getting liposuction before his wedding, being addicted to opioids, and expressed that slavery was a choice.

This interview is all over the place. Kanye reiterates his love for Trump. Stating that he and Trump were buds way before he was elected President and at one time was admired by the hip-hop community.

“I just love Trump, that’s my boy”. Yeezy does admit that he is “not into politics”, yet, he speaks on political topics and says he only expressing his “free thought”.

West has been receiving a lot of backlash from his fan base and supporters. Rapper Daz Dillinger went to social media and posted a video telling all “Crips” to beat Kanye up on site.

Saint Pablo isn’t taking heed to any threats. “No, this is not the Malcolm X Movie, NO black person is finna touch Kanye West. We got love. Nobody finna touch me. Nobody.”  Looks like he shut that down real quick.

Kanye talks about his hospitalization back in 2016 and what actually caused him to go cuckoo for coco puffs. He stands before the TMZ staff and shouts “I had plastic surgery because I was trying to look good for y’all,”. “I got liposuction because I didn’t want y’all to call me fat like y’all called Rob [Kardashian] at the wedding and made him fly home before me and Kim got married. I didn’t want y’all to call me fat so I got liposuction”.

He tells the newsroom about his struggle with his opioid addiction. “And there was talks amongst my camp like Ye’s popping pills, so when he handed them to me he said, ’You know this is used to kill genius,’ so I didn’t take it. Two days later, I’m in the hospital.”

WAIT A MINUTE? Wasn’t Kanye’s mothers death caused by complications due to plastic surgery?

West continued talking to the staffers, saying, “I was taking two pills a day at the time. When I left the hospital, how many pills do you think I was given? Seven!” the rapper said, raising his voice. “I went from taking two pills to taking seven. So the reason that I dropped those tweets and everything is because I was drugged the fuck out.”

The discussion leads to the topic of slavery and of course Saint Pablo had to stick his foot in his mouth,  “When you hear about slavery for 400 years. For 400 years? That sounds like a choice.”

Van Lathan wasn’t having it and had enough of Kanye’s “free thought.” “I actually don’t think you’re thinking anything,” Lathan said.

“There is fact, and real world, real-life consequence behind everything that you just said … while you are making music and being an artist and living a life that you’ve earned by being a genius, the rest of us in society have to deal with these threats to our lives. We have to deal with the marginalization that has come from the 400 years of slavery which you said … was a choice.”

The two continued to go back and forth until Kanye apologized. They hugged it out like true gentlemen. Candace Owens also joined the interview to back up Kanye but she was lost in translation. Owens barely got a word in because of course this is THE KANYE SHOW and there isn’t any room for anyone else.
