 The Lil Wayne Comeback SZN

Lil Wayne is the sole owner of Young Money records. The Wayne comeback is here and we the people are eager to hear it. He appears on the Swizz Beatz album Poison. The lead single “Pistol On My Side (P.O.M.S.)” features him and it sounds like the old Wayne. Weezy having the issues with Birdman probably lost his joy with the music. When music becomes work to musicians; it becomes bad news. I’m down for the old Wayne back.

Wayne has Control of Young Money People forget the star Lil Wayne was. He has a strong ear as an A&R. Can Weezy find another Drake and Nicki Minaj? Tyga having a bit of a wave again is no coincidence. He has currently Christina Millan and Lil Twist. Today, the rappers being discovered call Lil Wayne the Goat. Most of them consider Wayne the biggest influence in their careers. He hasn’t released an album in 3 years. What would a new Wayne album sound like? Who are the producers? Who are the features? It was supposed to drop this Friday at midnight but it didn’t.

An Older Lil Wayne

If you in your late 20s to early 30s, you remember when Wayne was the called the “Greatest Rapper Alive”. Not to sound old, but these kids don’t remember The Dedication 2 and Tha Carter 2. The “Go DJ” video/song was always fire to me. New Yorkers and Dipset fans remember when he hopped on “Touch It or Not” with Cam ‘Ron.  He got the NYC stamp of approval. I want to see how an older and more mature Wayne sounds in 2018. He has been through a lot and lets see what he has to say.
