Al B. Sure! Re-Releases Nite and Day Remake With Son Quincy

Salutations FM Trendsetters!  With Father’s Day around the corner, it is only right for a fresh new artist to collaborate with his 80s and 90s icon father.  Quincy (Fox’s TV show Star) shares the same birthday with his New Jack Swing dad, Mr. Al B. Sure! last week.  To celebrate, the father and son dynamic duo re-released (previously released last year) “I Can Tell You (Nite and Day 2.0)” video through Secret Garden Radio and Quincy’s YouTube channel.  Ironically it is also the 30th anniversary of the release of the original song, so its only right to re-release the remake this year.  The video was directed by Maria Skobeleva.

The “Nite and Day” crooner retorted news of this recent collabo via Instagram:

The video itself begins as the torch being passed from one generation to the next.  Quincy, who looks incredibly identical to his father, accepts the torch that made his father the infamous icon he is to this day.  Kind of Matrix like in a way.  The only difference is the Star actor’s voice is deeper than his father’s singing voice.  Hence the auto-tune usage that compliments the song.  The video shows Quincy spreading his father’s “magic” which seems to transcend different generations of women.  In almost every scene you can see the golden majestic essence flying in the air, causing women in the video to unleash their inner sexy.  I mean, they are uncontrollably caught in the same Cloud 9 the 27-year-old singer’s predecessor been doing since the late 80s.   The message in the video is clear.  No matter how aged a classic is, it is still celebrated and appreciated among generations, and generations to come.  This was a well-needed collaboration and I look forward to seeing many other iconic fathers in the industry collab with their sons. I predict Puff Daddy and King Combs to do a remake for “P.E. 2000” and call it “P.E. 2018” or something.
