Dj Akademiks gets Suspended from “Everyday Struggle” and Banned from Twitch for his redundant rant.
Dj akademiks was wildlin’ in the internet streets this past week. He went on a sassy rant about many in Hip Hop. On the other hand he eventually ended up having smoke for John Legend and his wife Chrissy Teigen and many others.
This whole ordeal started with a conversation between Akademiks and rapper Freddie Gibbs. AK said Gibbs was irrelevant when compared to Jeezy. Gibbs took offense and the two went back and forth taking shots on Twitter.
In addition to the exchange with Freddie, Ak took his talents to Twitch to air out his feelings. During what seems to be a drunk rant he took even more shots at popular faces in media.
On twitch he trolled John Legend about the sales of his latest album “Bigger Love”. Stating only a selling 26k in a week is a flop, and proceeded to call Chrissy Teigen derogatory and misogynistic names. Akademiks claims Teigen “sneak dissed him” and felt the need to defend himself by bashing her looks and John’s lack of first week sales.
He wasn’t done there. The “dj” continued his ongoing beef with Meek Mill stating that “meek has no authority to cancel anyone, and that he’s Hip Hop’s biggest hypocrite.”
The internet don wasn’t finished yet. He ended the Hennessy fueled rant by going off on top jeweler Ben Baller. Akademiks took shots at the famed Hip Hop jeweler after looking through tweets and seeing Ben Baller laughing at the exchange between him and Gibbs. As a result of that, Ak made ignorant comments about Ben being an Asian man in black culture and not to “play with him,”or have an opinion when it’s his time to shine in the culture.
Aftermath
As entertaining as the rant was it didn’t end well for Ak. After receiving much backlash for his comments, “Everyday Struggle” suspended him for two episodes. Twitch banned him from the site and deactivated his account. That old saying may be true, “a drunk mind speaks a sober heart.” Hopefully this break can give Akademiks the mental recharge he desperately needs.
