South Jamaica raised rapper Scorpio P. began his journey into wordplay writing poems and short stories, officially entering the world of rap at the age of 16. With studies in jazz, as well as professional theater, Scorpio was able to not only cultivate his relationship with the arts but also develop his persona as an artist.
His premiere EP, StreetFood, featured singles “Black Magic“, which dropped on the Inauguration Day of Donald Trump as a form of protest, as well as “Mother’s Son” which received multiple nominations at the Voiceless Music Awards.
On February 28, 2019, Scorpio P. released his debut studio album, “Director’s Notes“, featuring the likes of Kony Brooks, Frank Knight, Richard Pigkaso, Nikki O. and more. Afterwards, inspired by the likes of Jay-Z, Dave East and Nipsey Hussle, Scorpio released his latest single titled “Black Dollaz.”
