Drake’s most recent single “Laugh Now, Cry Later” featuring Lil Durk gave us a teaser of what’s to come in his highly anticipated upcoming album titled Certified Lover Boy. The video itself took place in Nike world headquarters located in Beaverton, Oregon.
Fans were left to speculate as Drake teased at there being a potential collaboration with Nike in the works throughout the music video.
This speculation then turned into clarity once the megastar began uploading images of socks on his Instagram story which featured the infamous Nike check and a red heart, which symbolizes Certified Lover Boy. Along with the socks, Drake then posted what looked as a regular Nike sports cap, that is garnished with a kiss mark from red lipstick on the brim… also symbolizing the Certified Lover Boy theme. Very on brand, Drake!
From then, other celebrities, such as Swae Lee, DJ Khaled, and Lil CC, began to post on their own social media accounts how they too have received some Certified Lover Boy merch from Drake himself. These packages included a black puffer jacket with heart shaped puffs, a hoodie with the Certified Lover Boy logo and Nike swoosh logo, the sports cap, the socks, and several different Nike t-shirts representing Certified Lover Boy, such as cupid in a ski mask and more.
We suspect this merch drop around the time the album is released, and if so… Drake, we have our coins ready!
