F3stive Wins Equity Distribution & BARS App Contest

On May 20th, BARS and EQ (Equity Distribution) crowned F3stive the winner of their five-week contest. The contest served as a search for the hottest talent to come onto the platform.  BARS is a new app for rappers, driven by Facebook’s internal R&D group, NPE Team. EQ, on the other hand, is an independent distribution company.

F3stive is a San Diego native who encourages others to love themselves in her punchlines and concrete wordplay.

Because she’s the winner of the contest, she will receive a distribution deal with EQ, as well as a $5,000 marketing budget to help jumpstart her music career.

The artist was chosen as one of the illest by Moe, who recently dropped his latest Zaytoven-assisted project, Moetoven. In the beginning of the contest, more than 2,000 aspiring artists grabbed the mic. There were a total of three preliminary rounds that took place over a five-week span, with three finalists chosen by BARS and the fourth finalist selected by EQ’s A&R team. The contest began in March.
