Big Latto, formerly known as Mulatto, gave fellow rap artists a trigger warning. In a tweet, she boldly warned others in the game to be ready.
Because Big Latto is prepping for lyrical assault, and she isn’t taking any prisoners. According to Latto, she’s been spending the better part of the year stepping up her game and strengthening her craft. In her words, “so when I start this rollout, I hope “b****** ready.”
Latto hasn’t been making massive industry plays this year, at least not yet. According to a source, the brazen artist has put out only two solo singles thus far in 2021. But that doesn’t mean she’s not working. Latto has spent some time moving the crowds at some of the hottest hip-hop festivals, including the Uproar Festival and the Made in America Fest. In fact, according to Billboard.com, “Big Latto was the first major act to hit the stage” at the Uproar Festival.
So are they ready?
Latto is putting it in! And she has kept her drive to perfect and elevate her image and craft one hundred percent transparent from her name change to her augmentation. Big Latto has kept it real for her fans on social media. And as far as her artistry, as she said in her tweet, she’s been focused, refining, and honing.
Latto already showed the world; she got game.
Latto first showed her skills on the 2016 televised competition, the Rap Game. In fact, her flow was so lit that she took first place. And since then, her star power has been building. According to realitytitbit.com: “In 2019, the American rapper had a breakthrough with her single Bitch from da Souf and was signed to Sony-owned record label RCA Records.” And here we are in 2021, and she is promising her competitor’s straight fire with her upcoming release. The intensity and expectation are building for sure. But for now, her fans have to chill for a bit while they are waiting for Latto to serve up that heat.
