#FMSpotlight: Kyle Banks, Bino Rideaux- “On Me”

Published

on

LA native Kyle Banks and Bino Rideaux from Def Jam co-released “On Me.” It’s a new single featuring the producers Meez and Travis Marsh. Meez earlier produced for Dreamville & Cozz, while Travis Marsh previously brushed Drake’s and French Montana’s work.

“”On Me” is about feeling good, feeling fly,” says Banks of his inspiration behind the track. “When you’re stepping out with your crew for the night, you got that sauce on you, and you’re attracting attention.”

The song is festive and focuses on the moment’s beauty with its pleasant attributes, such as being cross-faded on molly and alcohol. However, existential questions about the nature of hate, romance, and more also appear throughout “On Me.”

Banks appears more measured and lyrical on the beat, while Rideaux’s fast flow energy crushes throughout the track. Rideaux’s voice in the song also somewhat reminiscent of Lil Baby’s autotune work.

Banks also recently released the romantic ballad called “Bad Bih” at the end of this August. The romance beauty, solid emotions, and simple love were recorded and posted on YouTube. Clip currently has more than 350k views.
