Archie Eversole is dead at the age of 37. He was shot on March 25th on Golf Vista Circle and taken to a nearby hospital, where he stayed for over a week. Archie reportedly died on April 3rd.
Eversole is famous for his song “We Ready” with Bubba Sparxx. You can still hear it playing around today. It samples the historic anthem for any sport, “Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye” by Steam. This song was on his debut album, “Ride Wit Me Dirty South Style,” which went certified gold.
Atlanta United Ambassador
Hailing from Atlanta, this song is a staple for all Atlanta sports teams during pregame warmups. The Atlanta United Major League Soccer Team chose Eversole to write their team song, “United We Conquer.”
Alexander Kraus, who is Eversole’s brother, was first charged with aggravated assault. Now he is facing murder charges. At a Chevron gas station in DeKalb County, police were called to find Eversole at the scene.
Eversole Loved Atlanta
“Atlanta is the heart of all the music I’ve ever created. We’re a high-energy city,” Archie once said.
Atlanta United also put out a statement regarding the late rapper.
“A staple in the Atlanta hip-hop scene, Archie adopted Atlanta United before our first season and continued to be one of our club’s most fervent supporters.
In addition to his decorated musical career, his voice will long live in our supporters’ minds as “We Ready” billows through the speakers for kick-off at Atlanta United matches. Our deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends”.
The Official Sports Anthem
Even though it came out decades earlier, “We Ready” is still relevant today. In 2018, the song was used to promote the NFL playoffs. Then again, in 2019, to announce the start of the season.
A shining moment came in 2017 before an Atlanta United match. Eversole led the “We Ready” chant with the stadium going wild as he hammered the golden spike. He described it as “overwhelming.” It ultimately led to the club’s official song, “United We Conquer.”

People over social media also pay homage to Eversole. RGIII claimed “We Ready” the “greatest Game Day anthem ever.” Another fan posted that this song was why he was able to overcome his ACL injury.
RIP Archie, Eversole’s “We Ready” will live on forever!
