“My big Wave is [one] years old today, I love you big man!!” the post’s caption read. The Atlanta rapper’s post also included two recent photos of Wave enjoying himself on what appears to be a private plane. DJ Khaled, who has collaborated with Cardi B and Offset, celebrated Wave’s birthday in the comments, writing “God Did”. The comment is a reference to the producer’s latest album of the same name.

Offset also posted a photo of himself and his son taken during a shopping trip on Instagram. In the picture, Offset can be seen fixing the baby’s hat while Wave happily sits in the stroller.

Meanwhile, Cardi B took to her Instagram story on Saturday, showing a sweet picture of Wave making a funny face. “Happy 1st birthday Wave,” Cardi’s caption read. The “Bodak Yellow” artist also shared side-by-side photos of Offset and their son making serious facial expressions. “He got his daddies mean mug lol,” she added.

Cardi B and Offset discuss their family

Wave, born last September, is Cardi and Offset’s second child together. His older sister Kulture is four years old. Offset is also the father to three children from past relationships. In an interview with Essence in April, Offset and Cardi discussed their blended family.

“It’s a blessing to be able to have them all together, and to have a wife who’s open and treats them as if they’re her kids,” the “Clout” artist said. “It could be an issue, but I don’t have to go through that and that’s beautiful.”

Cardi offered her own insight on the family’s dynamic.

“I feel like sometimes people who go into a relationship with a man or a woman who has kids with negativity- and I feel like people should embrace it and love it,” the 29-year old stated. “I love our family and I wouldn’t want it any other way.”
