Apparently Nas’ eldest child and only daughter, Destiny Jones, has stepped into the entrepreneurial lane and is attempting to be her own force within it.
Making good with her resources and interest, the young twenty year old launched a lip gloss line that debuted late last year.
Playing off her father’s classic album, Destiny ties in some of her family history into her new endeavor, titling it Lipmatic by Destiny Jones. The lipgloss’ names are even inspired by titles from her father’s songs; Coney Island Cake, Sunrise in Harlem, Brooklyn Brownstone, and Rose Out of Concrete.
So far she’s taking it slow and steady, debuting with four colors last year retailing for $14 each, and has recently introduced another four shades for her Spring collection.
Her site is clean and straight to the point, demonstrating the shades in their bottles and on cute ladies. Each gloss boast of being made of 98% organic products, making Destiny one to consider the quality of her product.
Nas recently shouted out his daughter via Instagram, introducing followers to the line, and expressing his support for her. It is inspiring to see a young women take her interest and passions seriously and attempt to build something with it, and although she’s young, her introduction to the public is looking like a successful one.
She has been seen saying this is only the beginning for her, and she has a passion for business and brand building. She is also taking acting classes, wanting any attempt she takes towards acting to be a quality one.
Another up for her newest brand is acquiring Black-Ish’s Yara Shahidi, who plays the oldest daughter on the ABC show. Yara is also Destiny’s cousin, and looks adorable in the promo photos for the Spring collection.
I saw a positive review for the line on YouTube, and that plum color looks incredibly valuable to me, I’m interested to cop and support. Her glosses can be copped on her site. www.Lipmatic.com.
