Dr. Dre Adds Two Deaf Rappers Into Super Bowl Halftime Show
Dr. Dre will be helping make history during the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show.
Deaf performers Sean Forbes and Warren “WaWa” Snipe are set to appear on stage during the halftime performance. Both rappers were hired by the National Association of the Deaf.
Both artists will be performing alongside Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and Mary J. Blige.
These seven artist will also make the first hip-hop mashup in Super Bowl history.

Forbes, a 40-year-old American Sign Language (ASL) rhymer, is known for his interpretations of the newest hits as well as original songs like Let’s Mambo.
Forbes is also the founder of the Deaf Professional Arts Network (D-PAN), which works with other hearing impaired artists.
This will be Forbes first time performing at the Super Bowl. Forbes told a source that his goal with this performance is to “open the doors for other deaf performers.”
He has a connection with some of these artists that will make performing at the Super Bowl halftime show even more special.
“So this is very much a full-circle moment, being from Detroit, being a part of the Eminem camp — or even going back to being 12 and listening to N.W.A, Dre, and Snoop on my Walkman,” Forbes said.

Snipe, a 50-year-old rapper and an ASL interpreter on Becoming Helen Keller, started is career in 2005 and coined the term “Dip Hop” to describe his style of music. He uses his style to allow hearing impaired people to enjoy hip-hop.
Snipe had his most notable performance at the 2021 Super Bowl. During this performance, he interpreted alongside Jazmine Sullivan and Eric Church during the national anthem and America the Beautiful. Snipe’s performance during these pre-game performances had some views making comments such as he “stole the show” and he is “the real MVP”.

After such a moving performance, Snipe will now be making his second appearance at the Super Bowl performing during the halftime show.
Where To Watch
The Super Bowl will start at 6:30 p.m. EST on February 13 on NBC. This event will also be streamed live on fuboTV, Peacock, Hulu + Live, and Sling TV. The halftime show is estimated to start at 8:00 p.m. EST.
This will surely be a show to watch as Forbes and Snipe become the first two deaf performers included in the Super Bowl halftime show.
