Rap veteran E-40 announced Wednesday that he will drop a double album, The D-Boy Diary Books 1 & 2, on Nov. 18. The Bay Area legend has an impressive 44 tracks for fans to enjoy on what will be his 26th and 27th releases. Featured on the project are Gucci Mane, Lil B, Jay Rock, Kid Ink, Eric Bellinger, Casey Veggies, and many more, with E-40’s masterful flow guiding the lesson in lyricism. “What’s happening at this point in my career defies logic,” the 48-year-old said in a press release. “I still spit the realest and rawest shit of anyone in the rap game right now. The D-Boy Diary will lace the unlaced, will tutor the truant– it’s a guidebook for a street life.” The album follows the success of the singles “Petty,” featuring Kamaiya, and “Slappin’,” featuring Nef The Pharaoh and D.R.A.M. The latter record has received over 1.1 million views on YouTube— an accomplishment that follows 40 Water’s track record of producing hits.
