#FMFashion: Changes for NY Fashion Week

Live events of 2020 have either been cancelled, or changed, with New York Fashion Week being no exception. Brands have been struggling to figure out the best way to showcase their pieces while being limited to time, space, and funds.

Guidelines from the state of NY and the CDC have encouraged events like NY Fashion Week to take place virtually. While brand voice has become a large part of the fashion industry, consumers now pride themselves on supporting ethically produced products and environmental activism. Brands need to find ways to be more strategic in their marketing, and create messaging that brings their products to consumers. While this is easily done virtually, it will take away the networking experience, which normally takes place at events.

Change is inevitable this year; New York Fashion Week will have to be creative, and think of new ways to get in-touch with their clients.

We look forward to what’s to come!
