BHAD BHABIE’S ‘BESTIE’ VIDEO FEATURING DMX

DMX makes a surprise cameo in Bhad Bhabie’s new music video “Bestie,” a new track featuring Kodak Black. This marks X’s first musical appearance since being released from prison in January, after completing a one-year sentence for tax evasion. He’s back to his money moves after announcing a tour and a few other collaborations.

Go bestie!

Directed by Michael Garcia, the visual is inspired by horror films, taking influence from Friday the 13th, Silence of the Lambs and a few other teen-scream classics. The horror-themed clip stars Danielle Bregoli and her best friend, a masked psycho killer clown. We see Bhabie and her masked friend murdering an old man in the woods with a sledgehammer. After attacking the man, they round up more victims in an abandoned house, sitting down to eat with their scared dinner guests. The main course is the head of their mallet-victim, who raps Kodak’s verse. Kodak is not featured in the video. Apparently, he did not have time to fit the shoot into his schedule. Throughout the clip, the masked “Bestie” proceeds to stab the dinner guests all while doing Kodak’s “ZeZe” dance.

The mini horror film has a brief intermission, mocking the idea of “product placement” as Bhabie attempts to shoot commercials for various sponsors including CopyCat Cosmetics and Fashion Nova. At the end of the clip, Bhabie introduces her bestie and the masked man is revealed to be DMX. “I can’t go nowhere with this bitch again,” X says to the camera.  “She’s crazy!”

As a horror connoisseur, I appreciate this ode to classic horror films and commend Bhad Bhabie for her creativity as she takes her newfound fame in stride.
