The rapping group Fo Sho is proof that hip-hop is still spreading worldwide. The sisters joined together to form a hip-hop group native to Ukraine. And astoundingly, they are helping spread hip-hop throughout the Ukrainian music scene.
The Roots Of Fo Sho
Bethlehem Betty, Miriam, and Siona Endale are the children of Ethiopians who migrated to Ukraine. According to Rolling Stone, their parents moved to Ukraine in 1985 and met at medical school. Their parents passed on a Jewish lineage to them.

The sisters were born in Ukraine with dark, beautiful skin making it hard to blend in. Each member had to face their challenges to overcome racism, but these moments built them up for the world of hip-hop. Undoubtedly, the group Fo Sho are true hip-hop artists because they always have had a message to spread.
“I can’t compare my experience of being 12 to now,” Betty says. “Ukraine is so much better.”
The group was formed just three years ago, and they are already a force in Ukraine. The group teamed up with a producer to create their first two songs. Reportedly, “Catchy” came out in 2019, and “BLCK SQR” was performed by the group in a music competition in 2020. Unfortunately, Fo Sho didn’t win the contest, but their group was pushed out of the shadows.
Since Fo Sho has released a new song titled “U Cry Now.” Astoundingly, their songs have messages in them, and the new single is no different. Remarkably, the single “U Cry Now” fits perfectly with what’s going on in Ukraine. With the Russian invasion underway, the song was released right on time.
Unfortunately, the Russian assault on Ukraine has had a negative impact on the group. Sadly, they cannot concentrate on music with a war raging in their home country.
