Fredro Starr Talked With Scoop B About Verzuz, Mostly Focused On Jay-Z

Apparently, the Onyx member Fredro Starr is a big fan of the Verzuz battle. At least, big enough to dedicate a decent part of Scoop B’s interview to it.

Mainly, Starr and the host of Bovada Sports Betting Show discussed the potential outcomes of an Onyx vs. M.O.P. battle. Fredro Starr also talked about various artists who could possibly stand up against Jay-Z on Verzuz.

Fredro Starr On The Possibility Of Onyx vs. M.O.P. Verzuz

Fredro Starr claimed that doing a Verzuz between Onyx and M.O.P. “would be fuckin’ crazy!” The reason is close bands’ location to each other, and also the fact that the bands “came out about around the same time, we both got that same energy.”

Unfortunately, Fredro Starr claimed, M.O.P doesn’t feel too excited about participating in Verzuz, at least for now.

“But I’m sure if the situation is right, we can get it done,” Starr cheered up. “We just have to get it done. They can drop Ante Up, and we’re gonna drop Slam! You know what I’m sayin’?”

Fredro Starr also talked about the other artists he would do Verzuz with. “I’m willing to take on Cypress Hill to do an Onyx/ Cypress Hill Versuz,” Starr claimed. “I’m willing to do an Onyx/ Dogg Pound Versuz.”

M.O.P. vs. Onyx in a Verzuz is what @Fredro_Starr wants.

"Everybody knows that’s the Versuz that Onyx is supposed to do but I’m hearing that M.O.P. doesn’t want to do Verzuz."

Starr On Potential Jay-Z Opponents

Fredro Starr also talked about potential opponents who would be good enough to do Verzuz against Jay-Z. According to Fredro, those artists are Nas, Eminem, or Busta Rhymes.

“I think Nas got records to go against Jay-Z,” Starr shared. “I think that when Jay-Z said that no one can touch him in Versuz, I was like… the first person that came to my mind was Nas.”

Compared to Eminem, Jay-Z is more “agreeable to the culture,” the rapper claimed. Thus, “Jay-Z would outlast Eminem in a Versuz.”

Meanwhile, Verzuz of Jay-Z and Busta Rhymes “would be a crazy battle.” This is because “Jay-Z would have more hit records that people would know,” while “Busta’s energy on stage would just be incredible.”
