The Hate is Flagrant for Kendall Jenner’s Fendi Fall Ads
Kendall Jenner is the newest face for Fendi’s 2015 Fall Ads. Apparently the finished product is stirring a lot of commentary, a lot of it negative. I mean considering her famous family origin, and being super hot and relevant at the moment, the hate is inevitable right? But it’s been wondered, does Kendall really deserve all of the opportunities she’s been given, based off of her ability to be an amazing model? Some would say there are much more desirable models who kill the looks and give the face models become iconic for.
Some of the comments found on The Fashion Spot include it being the worst campaign for Fendi in a long time. Others are as follows; “‘There is no tension in her body. She just stands there. It really bugs me.”, ‘The make-up doesn’t suit her… needs someone with cheekbones!!’
While the hate is apparent, she still gathered over a million likes on Instagram, which I’m sure Fendi and Chanel designer, Karl Lagerfield was betting on. He is also the photographer of this campaign, and has consistently used Kendell in his runway shows.
The eclectic props and bright colors are in line with Fendi’s style, and while Kendell isn’t the strongest at giving face, the ads still convey a desirable style. We’re all the way here for neutral and blue toned tote, and the long shaggy vest, both capable of damage for the Fall season.
