Future and Young Thug Release “Super Slimey” Mixtape
Surpise! A “Super Slimey” mixtape dropped from the ATL rappers Future and Young Thug. This collaborative album is one for the books. Every song in my opinion is FIRE! This mixtape featured only one other artist and that was Migos’ Offest. On the production side, it features: Southside, London on the Track, MikeWill Made It, Riche Souf, C4 Wheezy and more.
According to News Week, “Future has been one of rap’s most popular MCs since the release of his 2012 mixtape Astronaut Status.” They also went on to say, “The 33-year-olds melodic lyrics and nimble vocal style laced over hard-knocking, techy beats is a feature of notable tracks like “Turn on the Lights,” off his first studio album, Pluto, to third album DS2’s “F*uck Up Some Commas.”
Meanwhile, 26-year-old Young Thug loves to always jump on beats that are uptempo and songs that have catchy choruses. This makes him very popular too the Millennial generation. His high-pitched voice and the fact that a lot of his fans don’t really know what he is saying makes him even more popular and one of hip-hops youngest celebs. Future and Young Thug’s collaboration on the 13-track mixtape seems like they were meant to pair up and put out this banger. Besides growing up in very similar environments, mostly the slums of Atlanta, both of these artists sounds go perfect together. Fans already had a taste of the dynamic duo with the few tracks the rappers have both appeared on, like in 2014’s “Chanel Vintage,” 2016’s “Who” and 2017’s “Relationship.”
