Atlanta legend Gucci Mane welcomed the newest artist to his label, 1017 Records.
In the music video for a new single, “Poppin,” Guwop raps alongside Mississippi artist BigWalkDog. Moreover, Dog rocks a brand new 1017 chain as they cruise in a Rolls Royce convertible. In addition, the “So Icy” rapper also let his Instagram followers know it was official, boasting the #New1017 hashtag.
And Gucci’s track record as an A&R is undeniable. He has had a hand in introducing hugely successful rappers to the mainstream hip-hop scene. But Young Thug and Pooh Shiesty are two of his proudest examples. Fans of the genre can’t count out the possibility that they could be experiencing the beginnings of the next star in the industry.
However things go, we’re expecting more collaborations from the duo on the way — maybe on a continuation of 1017’s So Icy Gang series.
