HYBE America has entered an agreement to merge and acquire Quality Control (QC Media Holdings, Inc). Variety first reported the big announcement.

Quality Control is an Atlanta-Based Business

QC is an Atlanta-based business founded by CEO Pierre “P” Thomas and COO Kevin “Coach K” Lee. The company represents a-list artists such as Migos, City Girls, and many more of your industry favorites. HYBE America is led by CEO Scooter Braun, who has managed stars like Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande. According to Variety, Quality Control will continue business with Universal Music Group even with the new deal.

What is HYBE America?

This is Braun’s first big step since he became the sole CEO. He runs the US division of the South Korean entertainment company. One of their most well-known bands at HYBE America is BTS, also known as Bangtan Boys. It seems HYBE is looking to expand out of the K-pop genre. The sole CEO joined HYBE’s family after the company purchased Ithaca Holdings for more than $1 billion.

Scooter Braun, Pierre “P” Thomas, And Kevin “Coach K” Lee relationship?

The entertainment company — Quality Control — covers music, sports, film, and also television. Scooter Braun has reportedly known QC’s CEO and COO for about a few decades.

$320 Million In Stock And Cash

The deal was valued at $320 million in stock and also cash. The man who discovered Justin Bieber told The New York Times, “QC is one of the most significant independent labels in the world. They not only distribute music, but they also distribute culture. Their artists are the voices of their communities.”

Braun has a point: Migos basically took ownership of the word “culture.” Offset even named his and Cardi B’s daughter ‘Kulture.’ Migos’ smash hit “Bad and Boujee” also helped put QC on the map.
