New York Native and Hip-hop artist Jim Jones brought flavor to Monday’s weather coverage on Fox5.

Jone’s Breaks The News

Some fans were surprised when they turned into their local news report on March 28. There Jim Jones stood on a sound stage with the weather map front and center. Then, he delivered the weather report with style and panache as only he could. Jones did not disappoint.

Bringing Heat Waves On A Cold Day

Jones kept viewers entertained during his short segment as he warned of cold temperatures. In his words,

“Did th weavah on @fox5ny #gooddaynewyorkfox5 bust th thermal (long john’s) on em lol .”

Talking about putting the ill in Chill, Jones did his thing. He demonstrated how one could elevate something even as routine as the weather.

Jim Jones’s Forecast

Jones kept it legit. Although he was entertaining, he didn’t skip on the facts warning unexpectant viewers that they might want to reconsider their clothing choices based on how mother nature has been acting.

We are looking like we in our fifth or sixth winter, it’s supposed to be spring, but spring is out of here. New York City, you’re in the dubs. You’re in the ’20s. When you’re in the ’20s, you gotta drop down and get your eagle on.”

Truth indeed!

Not Everyone Is In Shock

According to a source, Jones is known for doing a little meteorological coverage on the side

“it’s become expected in the Hip Hop culture for fans to hear from Weavahman Jim whenever the forecast’s acting up in the NYC area.

Additionally, the hip-hop artist conducts his own weather coverage on Revolt’s Drip Report

Does Jim Jones Have A Future In Weather Forecasting?

Who knows if Jones has a future in national broadcasting as a meteorologist? However, Jones recognizes his magnetism, contending that he could probably handle some work at the station on a more permanent basis.

“I could use a full-time job @fox5ny,”

And without a doubt, he would make it entertaining.

However, there are no forecasting contracts on the table, at least for now. Besides, Jones keeps busy with the multiple projects he is working on; one is an upcoming project titled “We Set the Trends. But in the future, who knows.
