Kodak Black has climbed the charts once before, and he’s doing it again. This time, Gunna’s joining him for the climb.
Like “ZEZE,” fans pushed Kodak’s newest single, “Super Gremlin,” into the Billboard Hot 100’s sixth spot. However, it’s been up for ten weeks, reaching a new peak for the rapper.
As for Gunna, his “Pushin P” featuring Future and Young Thug reached right below Kodak at No. 7. “Pushin P” marks the rapper’s third time on the Top 10 chart.
The contest for number one was close this time around. Adele’s “Easy On Me” remained No. 1 nine weeks while the rest fluctuated. Justin Bieber and The Kid LAROI’s “Stay” was No. 2, and the rap songs don’t begin until the sixth spot.
Kodak Black’s Return
In 2021, Kodak ran into many problems. He served time for weapons-related charges, got accused of sexual assault, and completed rehab.
Since then, the rapper has put himself into his music, and it shows. “Super Gremlin” first stopped in the Top 40 before climbing higher. Calboy and Latto performed remixes of the song, and even Jackboy complimented it.
Kodak has gone through a lot, but he’s sticking to what he loves.
Gunna’s DS4EVER
Gunna has also climbed other charts recently. His DS4EVER album went head to head with The Weeknd’s Dawn FM for the No. 1 spot on Billboard 200.
Timbaland, a record producer, compared Dawn FM to Michael Jackson’s Thriller, which many fans criticized. However, even though Dawn FM had the producer’s praise, Gunna’s album overcame and won the number one spot.
Afterward, the rapper shared the news on Instagram to celebrate.
“Go on the internet right now, tell everybody we got the number one album in the fucking world, right now. Please. And this ain’t the first one – this more like the third one, but this the big one,” Gunna said.
