Lauryn Hill’s The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill is a timeless album that’s heavily celebrated within the hip-hop community.

Released on August 25th, 1998, the album shot up to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, scoring over 422,000 sales in its first week. The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill also earned Grammy nominations and five wins, including Album of the Year and Best R&B Album.

The album made such noise that it was also added to the Library of Congress’ National Recording Registry. Case in point, Lauryn Hill’s The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill will always be a timeless album that brings hip-hop lovers together.

Recently, the RIAA went on Twitter and announced that The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill has officially gone Diamond. They also compiled the numbers the project made since its debut. They conclude that more than 10,000,000 units have been sold. Lauryn Hill Hill joins an elite list of artists who have obtained diamond-certified records, including Michael Jackson’s Thriller, Adele’s 21, Britney Spears’…Baby One More Time, Eminem’s The Marshall Mathers LP, and 2Pac’s All Eyez On Me.
