HBO Has A New Series And The Barbz Are Happy

Friday marked the 10th anniversary of artist Nicki Minaj’s iconic debut rap album Pink Friday. The singer surprised the internet, particularly her massive cult following, the Barbz, with an announcement on twitter.

The singer shared the news of her upcoming project with HBO Max, a detailed 6 part docuseries about her life. The series is being spearheaded by Michael John Warren, the 6 time emmy award winning director behind Fade to Black, a documentary on Jay-Z.

The star promised in her twitter message the documentary series would give a much desired detailed look at her life. Minaj stated “It’s going to give you guys a raw, unfiltered look at my personal life and my professional journey. And I can’t wait to share it with you.”
