Polo G spoke out about his arrest in Miami on Twitter. As you may know, authorities arrested him in Miami, Florida and charged him with battery against a police officer. The incident occurred during a party celebrating the release of his new album, Hall of Fame, and he was arrested at a traffic stop. Naturally, Polo G’s mother and sister have both spoke out on his behalf as well, and they believe he will be exonerated.
On Twitter, Polo G wrote,
“1 of the officers told us they was on us since we got off our jet.”
He followed that comment up by saying,
“They playin foul in Miami & dat shit been like that for a minute,”
Since Polo G spoke out about his arrest on Miami on twitter, he seems to believe that he was targeted by police. Currently, the rapper retained a lawyer, and he plans to fight the charges. Naturally, it will take some time to resolve the incident.
Polo G Spoke Out About His Arrest in Miami
Both Polo G’s mother and sister spoke out to support him. Likewise, his mother, Stacia Mac, believes that he was being directly targeted and profiled by police. Additionally, she feels that he was doing everything he was supposed to do to stay out of trouble. For instance, he was using a professional security company that night. She wrote on Twitter,
“None of these charges would be possible if the POLICE did not make contact with my son Polo G!!! He was NOT the driver. He was a PASSENGER in a professionally licensed vehicle with security. Polo G was moving smart and correctly. What more could he have done.”
We all hope that this mess gets cleaned up quickly, and Polo G can get back to making music. Of course, there will, no doubt, be an extensive investigation into the incident. We’re all cheering for Polo G to come out on top, and we hope it happens quickly!
