New Doors Open For The ‘Icy Girl’ Since Quavo Breakup!

Saweetie and Quavo called it quits last week around rumors of the Migo being friendly with another woman. They had an exchange of words on Twitter which ended with her reply “Take Care”. Quavo has been seen continuing business as usual as he’s finishing up “Culture III”. If you know anything about Saweetie, she’s never going to let up.

This week the ICY girl graced the cover of Cosmopolitan Magazine April edition. In the interview, she talked about always being underestimated as a female in general. The rapper spoke about how people think pretty girls are uneducated. Only after she graduated with her B.A in Business Communications from USC did she focus on her rap career. She talked about when she first started her stage presence wasn’t great and she had a lot of work to do. She recalled the early mornings, late nights, vocal coaching, breathing exercises, and choreography training.

“Some of us have it naturally. And some of us don’t—like me,” she says. “And that’s okay because I know that as long as I work hard, I’ll become one of the best.”

In 2020 Saweetie was awarded Song of The Summer at the MTV Video Music Awards. She also was awarded New Artist of 2020 at the 2020 People’s Choice Awards. All her success would make you forget she’s a SoundCloud rapper who went viral rapping her platinum song “ICY GRL” in her car.
