Tory Lanez wants to break his silence regarding Megan Thee Stallion case

Tory Lanez is ready to speak up… and not in an album. The ‘Chixtape 5’ rapper requested a modification to a court order that prohibits him from speaking about the ongoing criminal investigation regarding an allegation that he shot Megan Thee Stallion last summer. (He was charged with multiple felonies, to which he pleaded not guilty to.

This comes after the ‘Good News’ rapper called him an “abuser“ on Twitter last week, emphasizing  “you shot me.” Megan then accused Lanez’s team of planting stories intended to “create doubt with my story every week and the media eats it up.”

According to legal documents, Tory has asked the court to modify the protection order that prevents him from publicly addressing the ongoing legal battle. The motion argues it is unfair that Megan has repeatedly used her platform to address the case—and share “inflammatory information”—while he is prohibited from doing the same.

Lanez was charged in October with a felony count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, a felony count of carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle and for personal use of a firearm. He pled not guilty a month later and faces over 20 years in prison if convicted.

The next court date is set for February 25th.
