NBA YoungBoy has finally shared the tracklist for his upcoming album Sincerely, Kentrell. It is also set to drop tonight.
The wildly popular Baton Rouge rapper has teased his long-awaited fourth album since early this year. Although the album was initially slated to arrive earlier this spring, a series of NBA YoungBoy’s arrests and trials pushed everything back. In fact, the rapper still remains in jail and will be releasing the album from behind bars.
The Backstory Behind the Album
After a long drought of info, DJ Akademics shared on Instagram in August that Sincerely, Kentrell albumhad received a new release date of September 24th. Fans were skeptical until NBA YoungBoy confirmed the date in the visual for his song “Life Support.” But not until now have fans seen any of the proposed tracklist, which notably contains zero features across 21 tracks. Somewhat of a musical loner, NBA Youngboy reportedly declined songs with J. Cole and Lil Baby after he wasn’t feeling the vibe in the studio. This album will be all YoungBoy, no stops.
One may wonder why the 21-year-old YoungBoy would turn down the big-name collaborators like J. Cole. However, the rapper’s popularity stands on its own. NBA Youngboy was the most-watched artist on YouTube in 2019, beating out stars like Billie Eilish and Future. Furthermore, songs like “Nevada,” which will appear on Sincerely, Kentrell, have become massive hits on TikTok. The album will also feature the previously released “White Teeth” and “Toxic Punk.”
