YGhas teamed up with K-Swiss for their “Compton Country Club Campaign.” The famous shoe line company and the esteemed rapper’s collaboration starts with the brand’s Classic LX model. The model pays homage to K-Swiss’s involvement in the tennis field.
“K-Swiss is part of the LA culture,” said YG in a statement. “If you grew up in the city and were born in the ’80s and ’90s, you know about K-Swiss. It’s a staple of the culture.”
YG worked as creative director of the campaign ad, which features artists from his 4Hunnid record label. That list includes Day Sulan, D3szn, Mitch, and Tay2xs. The artists wore K-Swiss gear while striking a pose at a country club-themed set in Los Angeles.

“The people who embody this now are today’s entrepreneurial youth, taking matters into their own hands and creating their own success,” K-Swiss President Barney Waters adds. “This is the modern concept of a country club but done our way and open to everyone.”
