Beyonce’s new single and new music video “Formation” caught slack from non-Bey Hive supporters.The Formation music video portrayed the Black Lives Matter movement and snippets of a sinking car in remembrance of Hurricane Katrina. Beyonce’s surprising comeback NFl SuperBowl 50 Half-Time performance was a salute to black history and politician Mayor Giuliani had a response to her performance. Mayor Giuliani states “I think it was outrageous” during his Fox5 interview on Monday.

A protest against Beyonce who is one of the biggest artists in the world is outrageous to me.

An eventbrite event link was created and stated “Anti- Beyonce Rally will begin Tuesday Feb 16th from 8am-4pm.

Do all American truly know and understand both U.S History and African-American history ? How can we call ourselves Americans without knowing many histories that built this nation?

Racism has clearly been displayed because of the digital era through multiple movements. The Black Panthers movement was a faction to help bring awareness of racism and cruelty amongst innocent blacks who were attacked by the police enforcement in different states and at different time periods. The Black Panthers Party was a movement that arose during a very crucial time for America. How ironic is Beyonce performance during the Superbowl Halftime Show during Black History Month. Beyonce expressed her artistry just like many other revolutionist and activist in entertainment field in the 20th century.

If Beyoncé made the decision to support her beliefs she should not be criticized. As we pledge allegiance to a flag that symbolizes what has built America. Beyonce has right and freedom of speech and after all of the hardwork she put in the music game she deserves creative control.

Many artists in the early 20th century were entertainers and activist at the same time
such as, a Josephine Baker, etc.

Let’s support many cultures through arts,support the movements within them, and what different cultures have to offer the world.

Beyonce made a courageous step and I bet she doesn’t regret the performance at all.
