50 Cent Finally Addresses “Bankruptcy”
A day after announcing he filed for Chapter 11 (leading to the most epic Twitter dragging ever), Hip-Hop impresario 50 Cent vaguely confirmed today what most of us suspected all along: he’s not broke, he just refuses to pay up.
Last week, a jury ordered Fiddy to pay Lastonia Leviston, the mother of Rick Ross‘ child, $5 million for leaking her sex tape without permission. And with the jury set to deliberate additional punitive damages for Leviston, the Power executive producer is obviously leveraging himself against losing a lot of M’s.
“I’m taking the precautions that any other good business person would take in this situation, 50 Cent exclusively told E! News. “You know when you’re successful and stuff, you become a target. I don’t wanna be a bullseye. I don’t want anybody to pick me as the guy that they just come to with astronomical claims and go through all that.”
Not to be taken lightly, 50 Cent pulled up to the launch for his new line of liquor yesterday in a Buick. We’re all waiting with bated breath to see what the next “chapter” in this debacle will be.
