50 Cent’s next album will be his last. However, he has confirmed that he will not be leaving the music industry.
In a recent Instagram post, 50 made a caption saying, “Smile my next album might be my last.” He has also confirmed on The Talk that he will be focusing more on his acting career instead. While 50 Cent will continue to make music, it will most likely only be for his tv shows and movies.
50 Cent has released 5 albums so far in his career, Get Rich or Die Tryin in 2003, The Massacre in 2005, Curtis in 2007, Before I Self Destruct in 2009, and Animal Ambition in 2014.
50 Cent has been an actor since 2005. His first role is as Marcus in the movie “Get Rich or Die Tryin'”. He generally does one or two roles per year, between all of the music videos he also appears in. In his first TV series, Power, the rapper played the role of Kanan.
50 Cent also regularly takes on the role of producer. He has been doing so since 2009, with the video “Before I Self Destruct”. He has been an executive producer for all five series in the “Power” franchise.
The news that he will not be releasing any more albums is something that people should have seen for a long time coming. The rate at which he makes music videos has severely diminished since 2015. This is also the point where his Power series started taking off. Combine this with the mixed reception that Animal Ambition got, and this only makes sense.
