The Age of Situationships!
Often time’s women come across men who do not feel the need to give her what she wants. The loyalty, the trust, the faithfulness, and the whole nine yards. These days it’s hard to get your man to even post a pic of you on instagram.
So why is it that we condone this behavior???
Frankly if he’s not giving you what you want and need then it’s time to say good bye and move on. So many times women subject themselves to these “situations” they call relationships. When actually it’s nothing at all. There’s no future in store for the relationship, so why fake the funk?
But we fall for the sweet nothings they tell us, the little gestures that we make a big deal of, and the fact that we miss having someone with us in bed. This causes us to stick around and wait for the rainbow that comes after the storm. If a man is ready for a relationship, then what the hell is he running away from?
No women should accept the lack of commitment coming from a man, IF that’s what she’s asking for. There’s no reason to invest time in a relationship where only one person is taking it seriously.
When women do fall victim to these particular men, they end up in situationships. Situationships are more than a booty call but something less than a full committed relationship. It’s the limbo of relationships. In a situationship it’s hard to see where exactly the whole ordeal is going to go. It can either progress, remain stagnant, or just end.
These are some telltale signs that you are in a situationship:
- Lack of commitment;
- No titles-but exclusive to one another;
- NO ONE knows about you;
- Avoids conversations about the future;
- Late night calls to come over;
- No PDA (kissing, holding hands, pics on social media)
Of course there is more that goes into being in a situationship. But this type of relationship may not get anywhere especially if he’s showing a lack of commitment and hiding you from the world.
Nowadays there are more situationships than relationships because people are so afraid to give love a chance. No one wants to end up broken hearted, however there’s no way to find actual love if you don’t try.
