In a recent press release, the Roc Nation School of Music, Sports, and Entertainment announced the addition of the 9th Wonder to their staff

According to recent statements, The 9th Wonder will teach Hip-hop History and the Making of an Album at the Roc Nation School of Music, Sports, and Entertainment!  The Roc Nation School is a new addition to Long Island University and is set to welcome students fall of 2021.

Wonder’s contribution to society is irreplicable! Wonder has proven that what he has done cannot be replicated.  He is a Grammy Award-winning producer, rap artist, and hip-hop educator, to name a few.  The roster of artists that he has produced is the hottest in the industry.  To include work with Jay-Z, Destiny’s Child, Mary J. Blige, Erykah Badu, Ludacris, and David Banner, to name a few!  He has received critical acclaim, won Grammy’s, and earned four mics from the Source Magazine.  Yet, he has and is doing so much more! He not only carries the title of Ambassador of Hip-Hop Relations and Culture, as named by NAACP. But Wonder is also a member of the Universal Zulu Nation, “a hip hop peace organization formed by Afrika Bambaataa in 1973”.

Knowledge only becomes power when one uses it!

He uses that knowledge to empower and educate others. He is indeed the professor of hip hop, educating in more ways than one.  His service in the education sector includes a stint as an artist in residence at North Carolina Central University.  And, before this recent appointment, he served as an adjunct professor at Duke University.

In conclusion, Wonder is one of hip hop’s most incredible gems. He is not just radiating that light, but he is crafting that light in others!! In his own words,

“Music changed my life and opened doors for me in ways that I could never have imagined, so its only right that we impart our knowledge to help the next generation of ambitious leaders.”

And we expect great outcomes and incredible success from his new position at the Roc Nation School of  Music, Sports, and Entertainment!
