Aaliyah’s music catalog is soon to make its debut on streaming services according to her estate.
On Tuesday, Aaliyah’s estate announced that there has been discussion opened with various labels about adding her music to streaming platforms “in the near future” via Instagram.
“To our loyal fans: We are excited to announce that communication has commenced between the estate and various record labels about the status of Aaliyah’s music catalog, as well as its availability on streaming platforms in the near future,” said by Aaliyah’s estate via Instagram. “Thank you for your continued love and support. More updates to come!”

Tuesday also marked the 19th anniversary of the singers passing. On August 25. 2001, Aaliyah and eight other passengers, were killed in a plane crash that took off in Marsh Harbour Bahamas
Fans have been seeking to stream her hits for over a decade. In 2017, fans where the closest to streaming her music permanently as a greatest hits album was released on iTunes before being pulled from the streaming sites according to billboard. This left many looking for ways to stream her hit singles with those including Youtube, illegal streaming, and CDs.
With Tuesday’s update, fans can now expect a relief as they may expect to stream her music on the top streaming apps.
