Covington, KY Police Department arrested Adrien Broner on Sunday for an outstanding warrant in Ohio. It’s yet unclear why Broner is wanted in Ohio. According to court documents, the cash bond for Broner is $25,000, while the next hearing is on Oct. 11.

Broner’s Arrest & Charges

In December of 2019, the court ordered the boxer to pay $830K to Katherine Larson. Larson claimed she was sitting on the couch when Broner started kissing her against her will. Broner’s friends had to pull the boxer away from Larson. Larson went to the police and filed charges on sexual imposition, assault, and unlawful restraint. The fighter pleaded guilty.

Earlier that year, the court had dropped Broner’s other sexual battery charges. The boxer had been accused of grabbing a woman’s vagina at the Atlanta area mall. At some point, Broner was facing two court cases and charges, which could put him in jail for 9 years. It turned out there’s no way to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

Broner’s Hearings

The Ohio case, however, didn’t go so well for Broner. The boxer failed to pay the ordered compensation and the court judge Nancy Margaret Russo granted requests from Larson’s attorneys and ordered Broner to produce records about his finances. Broner claimed he had $13 on his name. However, Broner’s Instagram post with a video of himself handling what he claimed was $100,000 in cash showed the opposite. Broner eventually explained that his upcoming fight would pay off enough to cover the fine. The court let the boxer out while ordering him to comply with the lawsuit.

The case-related online records show Broner failed to enter a treatment program to complete after the conviction. The boxer had other run-ins with the law after the assault conviction, too. However, it seems that the fighter only left the Cleveland case unresolved.
