Big Sean and Hit-Boy discussed the difficult side of working with Kanye west were in a recent interview with Million Dollaz Worth Of Game.
The interview was released on November 14, although Big Sean confirmed the interview was recorded a month ago via Twitter. He made the clarification to avoid leading fans to think the comments were in response to Ye’s recent viral Drink Champs interview.
In the interview, they talk about Ye’s perfectionism and how difficult it is to work alongside. Sean said he does not even celebrate featuring on a song with West until it is officially out. He has revealed that he was taken out of a Kanye song before, without even a phone call. There even has been times where a track just never dropped. Kanye’s hit “Clique” was an example Sean gave of cutting people off tracks. “With ‘Clique,’ I did that verse on the fly so there’s like eight other verses on there. After him and Hov met up, they cut everybody but they was like, ‘Leave Sean on there, he went too crazy with the hook.'”
“Kanye can be very hard to work it,” Big Sean admitted while Hit-Boy chimed in, “I thought you was gonna say that first.” “Kanye will have you re-do a verse 10 times and not use them,” Sean continued before Hit-Boy added, “[Kanye will have you] redo some drums 10 times.”
