Big Sean as Detroit Pistons’ New Creative Director of Innovation
Big Sean has repeatedly expressed his love for the Pistons, coming from Detroit himself. On December 22, it was announced to Big Sean’s joy that he is now the creative director of innovation. So what is this role all about?
The creative director of innovation is expected to dictate the cultural aesthetics of the team. This ranges from merchandise design to fan experience. This seems to be the perfect role for Big Sean’s comeback this year.

During an interview with The Undefeated, Big Sean tells us how he landed the job.
“It was really something I threw out in the universe one day,” Sean said. “I mentioned it, like, man, ‘They need to give me a job!’ Talking about the Pistons, Red Wings, Tigers or Lions. I’m a huge Detroit fan. I’m ride or die with it. I’ve always said that, but especially with the Pistons. It’s crazy that it happened like this. I’m just truly grateful.”
