Big Sean and Desiigner react to Kanye West’s declaration to give GOOD Music artists ownership of their masters.
Kanye West has made it widely known that he is currently fighting his labels, Universal Music Group and Sony/ATV for ownership. West has been sharing his thoughts openly regarding this via Twitter. In a bold statement he has now declared that he is returning his share of his artists’ masters.
“I’m giving all Good music artist back the 50% share I have of their masters,” the G.O.O.D. Music label head announced on Wednesday (Sept. 23).
The label’s roster includes Big Sean, 070 Shake, Pusha T, Desiigner, Teyana Taylor, John Legend, and many more. Big Sean expressed gratitude after seeing the tweet from ‘Ye, who executive produced his latest album, Detroit 2.
“Thank you!!! This would help so much,” Big Sean tweeted. 070 Shake, who’s featured on “Violent Crimes” and “Ghost Town” on West’s 2018 album ye, also shared her label boss’ tweet by writing “Gang.”

As of now, these are the only G.O.O.D music artists that have responded to Ye’s declaration. However, if Kanye follows through with his claim, this could be major and game-changing in the music industry.
