Shame On You Billboard !!
Billboard is in huge hot water for offending one of the members of the Kardashians and it isn’t Kim this time. Billboard issued an apology to North West after tweeting what many people found extremely offensive. According to USA Today, Billboard tweeted,
“The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.”
Now that does not sound too bad, except the tweet is followed by a picture of North West licking a lollipop. Yup, that is awkward. Billboard quickly deleted the tweet when many showed disapproval and captioned:
“North West is already pretty sassy (but in a cute way).”
But it was too late. One thing we learn about people is that they can be a harsh crowd. Billboard has since issued an apology on their twitter page saying:
“We apologize for the tweet involving North West. The caption was about her comments to paparazzi. The suggestion some see was not intended.”
We do not know for sure if Billboard was sincere with it’s apology or not, but people weren’t buying it. The damage is already done. Let’s hope Billboard can get out of this one.
