Blueface is a well-known rapper. He’s also known for a bare-knuckle boxing match against TikTok user Kane Trujillo back on July 23rd. But then, even though Blueface won that contest, it led to commentary from people about the match. YouTube star-turned-pro-boxer Jake Paul had some words about the match. Blueface responds to Jake Paul. After the match, a fan tried to attack Blueface and was met with a sharp punch to the face.
The rapper had adopted his professional name from his street name, in the days when he uses to be part of a gang and before the prominence he attained within the hip-hop world. He had been born Johnathan Porter, but this creative and marketing choice helped lead to so much happening for him. Above all else, Blueface is a first-rate character actor from the meme age, down to the Benjamin Franklin tattoo that extends from his right ear to the middle of his cheek.
Paul believed that Blueface and his opponent, rapper 6ix9ine, did not do much in the match. “All they do is go into the studio and do drugs,” he said.
These comments could ultimately serve in Blueface’s interest, as a growing confrontation between him and Jake Paul could generate a face-off before a live audience in the future. A matchup like that would certainly be of interest to fans.
Blueface Responds to Jake Paul
Paul’s remarks about the match provoked an impassioned defense from Blueface.
“It’s funny that he says that, being someone who came from the entertainment side to the boxing world,” he said. “That’s real shallow of him to not view it that way. That’s like somebody else coming into the music industry rapping funny to everybody else and I’m bashing him too even though that’s how I came up. He’s a total clown for that. He looks like an idiot.”
