Boosie Badazz Blames Lil Nas X Slurs On His Grandmother’s Death

Boosie Badazz’s comments on Lil Nas X still seem to be a conversation starter. Over the past three months, we have given you intel on this unwarranted beef between Boosie and Lil Nas X. But, now, it seems like he’s recanting on his homophobic comments.

On Tuesday, the Baton Rouge rapper had an interview with VladTV. During his time with VladTV, Boosie states that he doesn’t consider Lil Nas X, or anyone apart of the LGBTQ+ community, an enemy. Boosie’s hurtful comments were ignited by his grandmother passing away.

“He had caught me at the wrong time,” Boosie said. “I was having a bad day. I was losing my grandmother. And you know how I am: you bite me, I’m going to bite back.”

His grandmother, unfortunately, departed this earth on November 9.

“I JUST LOST MY GRANDMA,” he wrote on Facebook on November 9. “IM GOING TO MISS U SO MUCH IM HURT, BRA, REAL TALK.”

Deeper into the interview, Boosie tells VladTV that he’s been receiving death threats over his spat with Lil Nas X. The rapper believes social media plays a part in this.

He also says the gay community rocks with him heavily. But if that’s the case, you’d think he wouldn’t make the comments he did.

“All my gay fans love me,” he said. “I don’t even know where the other hate be coming from. I have problems with none of my gay fans. We chop it up, we be all up in the airport together. I just really have problems on social media. I get death threats, Vlad.”

In short, the rapper is sticking to his beliefs—he creds himself for being as real as they come.

“I’m proud to be the person to speak up for people who can’t talk. You know, my momma tells me, ‘Shut up.’ My momma told me the other day, ‘Shut the fuck up.’ Called my phone, [she said], ‘Shut the fuck up. Stop talking about all that shit’. You sit down, ma. I don’t want to hear that. You know, not trying to be disrespectful to my mom, but I hung up on her.'”
