Hope all the FM Trendsetters had a great holiday season and an awesome New Year! 2018 is already kicking off to a great start in music!  If you were under a rock for the past 24 hours, allow me to retort.  Singer Bruno Mars and Instagram-icon-turned-rapstress and Love and Hip Hop star Cardi B dropped the video for the remix for his super hot single “Finesse“. It is the hottest and most trending video on everyone’s social media timeline!

This video is everything.  If you never grew up in the 90s or never watched the cultured iconic In Living Color comedy series, then this video will school you.  It has every element of 90s everything in both the song and video.  Dance moves that revolve around the infamous Running Man, the Cross Colour branded clothing, baggy stone washed jeans and bright colors. Definitely a blast from the past.  Only thing missing is the Wayans Brothers,  Jim Carrey, Rosie Perez, and of course Jennifer Lopez and the infamous Fly Girls.

The featured rapstress Cardi B’s attire and wardrobe is beyond phenomenal.  She definitely defined “slayed” with the “Round the Way” girl look.  Door knocker earrings, hat to the back, looking like everyone’s dream girl back in the day.  Her delivery and appearance was  awesome.  This newcomer has G.O.A.T. potential.

The theme of the video is reminiscent to the popular 90s pop culture television comedy series In Living Color.  It starts off with the 24 Karat Magic singer and Bodak Yellow rapstress remaking the infamous paint scene, that usually begins the beginning credits of the show.  The rest of the video goes to the dancing set that usually features the Fly Girls doing their routine in the show.  After the flashy 90s dance moves, Cardi B pops out of no where, reminding us of JLO when she was Jenny from the block and Rosie Perez.  Definitely a video to enjoy:
