Cam Newton, NFL QB was diagnosed with COVID on Saturday According to the Patriots.
Cam Newton, New England Patriots quarterback, has tested positive for Coronavirus.
The Patriots confirmed that one of their players tested positive for the virus on Saturday in a statement.
“Late last night, we received notice that a Patriots player tested positive for Covid-19,” the Patriots said. “The player immediately entered self-quarantine. Several additional players, coaches, and staff who have been in close contact with the player received point of care tests this morning and all were negative for COVID-19.”
On Saturday, The player was confirmed to be Cam Newton.
Cam Newton took to Instagram to address his diagnosis. ” I will never question God’s reasoning; just will respond with, YES LORD! I appreciate all the love, support, and WELL WISHES !! I will take this time to get healthy and self reflect on the other AMAZING THINGS THAT I SHOULD BE GRATEFUL FOR!!”, Cam Said.

According to the NFL, Cam was placed on the reserved/COVID List. Sunday’s Patriots vs Cheifs was rescheduled due to positive COVID tests from both teams.
