Yesterday, Cardi was feeling “Up” as she celebrated the one-year anniversary of her single by the same name. Her words flowed with adulation,
“One year of Up, I’m so proud, Thanks for making it #1, see y’all soon.”
She is due many congratulations. For a single to hit number one is no small feat. She has much to be proud of.
“Up!”
“Up” dropped in February of last year. Everyone needed a little more sunshine and happiness. Cardi delivered. The fans showed her love pushing her single straight to number one. But, the recognition didn’t stop there. “Up” also received a 2022 Grammy nomination, a source notes.
Cardi’s Sentiments.
The “She Bad” artist is overjoyed her music became so impactful at such a period of historical upheaval. She notes,
“Had the nation dancing from dope celebs, at weddings, in restaurants, at pep rallies. No gimmicks, just the country having fun during hard times!”
That’s what’s up!
Bardi gang leader definitely uses her craft to make a difference. As beautiful thing as this is, unfortunately, someone will throw shade.
Cardi Pulls Up Several Seats for Hater.
Cardi basked in the afterglow of her achievement. However, something needed to be addressed. She took time to correct a hater. One individual, in particular, felt it necessary to throw shade at Cardi on Twitter. The poster tried to label and box the artist.
“So the dance isn’t a gimmick when you’re supposed to be a rapper… oh? Hm,”
Without a doubt, this is a flagrant foul and a ‘woosah’ moment. Yet Cardi, with utmost grace, pulled out a chair and took the poster to school.
“Hnmmmmmm 🧐🧐🧐I mean I can’t help that people wanted to remake the choreography that was in the music video….I been doing choreography in music videos ever since I drop “MONEY” in 2018 …so wats your point sweets?”
She laid it out point, blank, period!
Not sure what the poster thought of Cardi’s direct statement. Does that matter? One comment can’t reverse Cardi’s win.
A round of thunderous applause goes out to Cardi B. She’s done some big things and accomplished so much. Hard work is always rewarded. So keep shining, Cardi, like the star you have become.
