Donald Trump Caught Pressuring Georgia

With a crazy year behind us, a new one begins. From Covid affecting millions and  President Trump losing the presidency, we are looking forward to a better year. As for Trump, he still wants to continue his legacy and somehow win the presidency back. While being consistent with investigations against the results of the election, no evidence can back his claims.

A recent vote to oppose the electoral vote or not is underway, but during this time, President Trump will do anything in his power to come up with anything to help in his favor. With conspiracy theories running around inside the President’s head, he has now contacted outside sources. Trump recently was caught on record contacting Georgia’s Secretary of State this past Saturday. A call-in hopes to find votes that could overturn the results.

Supporters still out and proud, hoping to promote the stop of stealing the election.

The problem here is that it’s illegal to push someone to falsify or even request a vote report. Some have not taken this lightly since it’s illegal, but Trump supporters find the Secretary of State to blame. With an upcoming vote on whether to oppose the electoral vote or not, this will likely hinder Trump’s name further into the ground.

Dr. Fauci Sees Vaccine Rollout As “Glimmer Of Hope”

Even as the United States is in the midst of an intense surge of COVID-19 cases, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top infectious-disease expert, remains somewhat optimistic.

Dr. Anthony Fauci has referred to the initial rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine in the United States as “some little glimmer of hope” despite issues with the vaccine’s rollout and the increase in total cases. At this point the total number of vaccinations given is about 4 million and the current rate of vaccination is roughly 500 thousand vaccines per day.

Despite the reasons for optimism, there are still concerns due to the distribution of vaccines being left up to individual states which has led to some confusion. While 4 million people have been vaccinated, this pales in comparison to the 17.5 million doses that have been shipped. This confusion puts millions of vaccine doses at risk of expiring before they can be used.

The incoming Biden administration hopes to vaccinate 100 million people in the first 100 days of the administration, which Dr. Fauci believes is a realistic goal. The importance of the vaccination effort is undergirded by the most recent surge of cases. In the United States, 350 thousand people have died of COVID-19 and 20 million have been infected.

McConnell Withholds $2,000 Stimulus

A year that hasn’t pulled any punches comes to an end with the dispersing of the $2,000 stimulus’s is withheld. Fear that the disperse of $2,000  would be sent to those who don’t need it.

“The Senate is not going to split apart the three issues that President Trump linked together just because Democrats are afraid to address two of them. The Senate is not going to be bullied into rushing out more borrowed money into the hands of Democrats’ rich friends who don’t need the help”. McConnell said on Wednesday at the U.S Senate floor.

McConnell Withholds $2,000 Stimulus

The issue needs to be addressed by actually sending support to Americans. People are struggling to pay rent, provide for the family, and handling a job with a deadly virus doesn’t help. An argument for opposing the stimulus mentions why it was not considered during President Trump’s tax cuts.

“Senate Republicans added nearly 2 trillion to deficits to give corporations a massive tax cut,” Schumer, the Senate minority leader, said Tuesday. “So I don’t want to hear it that it costs too much to help working families getting a check when they’re struggling to keep their jobs and pay their family families and live a normal life.”

They reduce tax cuts on the wealthy and become so focused on making sure they keep their money but have a low income from getting support to inform where they stand. With the pushback of the stimulus, it to be approved or denied, we will not know until next year where the Senate will sway when it comes to helping its people or disregarding them.

STIMULUS RELIEF PACKAGE ON THE WAY- HERE’S WHAT TO EXPECT

After months of failed negotiations, Congress has agreed to a $900 billion stimulus deal as the U.S continues to try to stay afloat from the pandemic fallout.
The relief package, signed by Trump Sunday night, will be available for people earning under $75,000 and are to receive $600 stimulus payments, while more than $284 billion has been set up for businesses. It comes as a number of aid programs are set to expire by next week, including Unemployment benefits and as the U.S. coronavirus death toll hits a devastating 315,000.

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said Monday  the first batch of payments could go out at the beginning of next week. That is faster than in the spring, where it took about two weeks after the legislation was signed.

The first batches may also be larger than in the spring. That is because the government now has more information about groups that got later payments in the first round, including those who typically don’t file tax returns and those who receive federal benefits. Those who receive paper checks instead of direct deposits will have to wait longer.

As far as Unemployment goes, Unemployed workers would get an extra 11 weeks of jobless benefits and a $300 weekly enhancement to aid payments as part of a Covid relief deal Congress reached Sunday.
Certain self-employed and gig workers would also get an extra $100 a week, according to a document summarizing the legislation.

The final vote on the exact amount and timeline are expected today.

Offset Doesn’t Trust the COVID-19 Vaccine

#FMPolitics: Offset Doesn't Trust the COVID-19 Vaccine

#FMPolitics: Offset Doesn’t Trust the COVID-19 Vaccine

Offset tells TMZ that he “doesn’t trust it though” when reporters tell him that only 14% of the black community trusts the vaccine. To back up his claim, he mentioned some of the results of the Pfizer vaccine tests that are now viral. These results show patients of the vaccine test that are experiencing Bell’s Palsy, which is a condition that causes the face muscles to be in temporary paralysis.

Despite the Bell’s Palsy occurring in the vaccine test group, the FDA claims that there is no link between the condition and the vaccine. For Offset, the pictures alone were enough to convince him not to take the vaccine.

The reporter also mentions that Barack Obama is ready to take the Coronavirus vaccine on camera and asks Offset if that will make him feel better about the vaccine. His response is a short and sure “na”. Offset claims that a lot of celebrities are also getting priority over others in terms of getting the vaccine. He believes this is unfair because it takes away that opportunity from people that might have a more dire need for it.

This statement comes from his personal experience as he mentions, “If I go to a hospital here…they’re gonna admit me fast.” He thinks this preferential treatment should not be done with the Coronavirus vaccine.

Celebrities are thought leaders in their own right, so only time will tell if people will share the same sentiment as Offset in terms of the COVID-19 Vaccinations.

Bill Gates Says Life May Not Return To Normal Until 2022 Due To Pandemic

Microsoft founder Bill Gates (@thisisbillgates) estimated in recent interview that life may not return back to normal until 2022, although a vaccine for COVID-19 is currently being produced. The chief science officer at the World Health Organization, Dr. Soumya Swaminathan, predicted a similar outcome to CNN reporters this week.

Gates told “Fox News Sunday” that the COVID-19 vaccine will likely come in early 2021, and the pre-pandemic lifestyle will return somewhere around the summer of 2021. Although developing a vaccine usually takes a decade, efforts to create a vaccine for coronavirus are proceeding at an extremely rapid pace. Currently, there are 40 vaccines in clinical trials and 9 in Phase 3 of testing, according to The New York Times.

“We’re looking at 2022 at least before enough people start getting the vaccine to build immunity,” Dr. Swaminathan said to reporters on Tuesday.

The United States has the highest number of cases in the world, and nearly 30,000 Americans have died from it, according to Johns Hopkins University. There is speculation that immunity might be difficult to achieve in the U.S. due to a potentially low effectiveness percentage and many anti-vaccination superstitions.

COVID-19 Vaccine Update

With the vaccine in reach, sources announced that healthcare workers, at-risk citizens, and White House officials will be the first to receive the vaccine.

Bill Gates voiced his frustrations over the fact that the U.S. still has no solid testing strategy for the coronavirus, and that lack of testing has led to massive spread of the virus.

“You know what happened was that 40,000 people came out of China, because we didn’t ban the residents and citizens from coming in. We created this rush. And we didn’t have the ability to test or quarantine those people, so that seeded the disease here,” Gates told CNN. ”Even today, people don’t get their results in 24 hours, which is outrageous that we still have that.”

Moving Forward

During a virtual meeting hosted by the United Nations foundation, the WHO chief mentions that all social distancing and mask protocols need to continue after the vaccine rolls out in order for citizens to build immunity. “We need 60% to 70% of the population to have immunity before you will start seeing a dramatic reduction in transmission of this virus,” she said. Dr. Swaminathan also raised an important question: How long does immunity last?

Donald Trump Jr. Contracts Covid After Months of Disregard For The Disease

President Trump’s Eldest Son Is Added To The Growing List Of Those In The White House Circle That Have Tested Positive For The Virus

The Covid-19 pandemic continues to worsen nationally, hitting peaks and records each day. The death toll nationally has now hit 254.000 with no end in sight.

Following the election night party held by the Trump campaign with 250 guests, seen to be maskless the majority of the time, a number of Trump administration members have contracted the virus.  Among the guests that contracted the disease were Ben Carson, Housing and Urban Development Secretary, and Brian Jack, White House political affairs director.

These are just a few of the names connected to the president that have tested positive, the entire list is far longer. New additions also include White House aide Andrew Giuliani and Vice President aid Hannah MacInnis

On Friday it was disclosed by Bloomberg that President Trump’s oldest son, Donald Trump Jr., had tested positive for the virus. While in isolation, it is said that Trump Jr.’s condition is asymptomatic.  This follows months of Trump Jr.’s controversial choice to downplay the disease. On Fox News in late October, he referred to the death as close to nothing, a number that is in reality a staggering quarter of a million.

The president took to twitter yesterday to confirm the condition of his son, stating that he was doing “very well.”

As the CDC recommends it is important to stay cautious and wear masks this holiday season and to avoid travel if possible.

President Obama Comments On Rappers Supporting Trump

In anticipation of his new book, The Promised Land, President Barack Obama sat down for a lengthy interview with The Atlantic in which he discussed everything from his years in the White House to the recent presidential election. President Obama seemed to attract some controversy when commenting on the increase in support amongst black men for President Trump

President Obama Comments On Rappers Supporting Trump
Barack Obama’s memoir, ‘The Promised Land’, is now available!

He drew a comparison between the materialistic elements of rap culture with the bourgeois aura surrounding Trump. After rappers like Lil Wayne and 50 Cent expressed support for Trump, President Obama identified some interesting parallels in their appeal.

He stated,

“It’s interesting—people are writing about the fact that Trump increased his support among Black men [in the 2020 presidential election], and the occasional rapper who supported Trump. I have to remind myself that if you listen to rap music, it’s all about the bling, the women, the money. A lot of rap videos are using the same measures of what it means to be successful as Donald Trump is. Everything is gold-plated. That insinuates itself and seeps into the culture.”

Barack Obama’s presidential memoir, entitled The Promised Land, is available now wherever books are sold. Check out his interview with The Atlantic here!

#FMPolitics: Celebrities React To Presidential Election

Leading up to election day, many celebrities used their platform to bring awareness to the importance of voting and shine a light on the presidential election, such as Beyoncé, Lizzo, Lady Gaga, and more!

Millions of outstanding votes yet to be counted leave many celebrities on pins-and-needles as they watch the results unravel on social media. Keep in mind that it may take over a week for all votes to be counted due to a large number of mail-in ballots. These celebrities can relate to that weary feeling in your stomach right now, even if their bank accounts don’t.

Trump quickly took to Twitter to declare an early victory, “I will be making a statement tonight. A BIG WIN!” Since then, it’s been reported that President Trump suspected that mail-in votes are being miscounted and will file a lawsuit against Michigan to stop the vote count. President Trump’s campaign says it will also request a recount in Wisconsin after unofficial turns show Joe Biden leading the state.

Jimmy Kimmel responded with a tweet, “a man who hasn’t even lost the election, claiming the election was stolen.”

This is what John Legend, who has campaigned for the Biden-Harris ticket had to say:

John Legend’s wife, Chrissy Teigen, can be found in the kitchen “stress cooking,” trying to avoid a heart attack, as she convinces herself that everything’s going to be fine.

Speaking of heart attacks, another vocal Biden fan, Cardi B, lit up three cigarettes at once.

R&B favorite SZA says she is watching The Purge: Election Year for dramatic effect.

Meanwhile, Kanye West garners almost 60,000 votes in this year’s election. He says, “God is so good. Today I am voting for the first time in my life for the president of the United States, and it’s for someone I truly trust…..me.” Kanye’s antics don’t stop here; he made it clear that we will be seeing him again in the 2024 election.

Kanye Announces That He Will Be Appearing On The Joe Rogan Experience

https://twitter.com/kanyewest/status/1317550429895622657

Yesterday, Kanye (@kanyewest) tweeted that he will be appearing on Joe Rogan‘s (@joerogan) podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE), next Friday. The tweet included two screenshots of their FaceTime call and it mentioned that Rogan will allow Ye to design the set for the show. The two have been very active recently so I am definitely looking forward to what each has to say!

The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE)

Joe Rogan is an internet personality, primarily known for his career as a stand-up comedian, mixed martial arts commentator, and podcast host–he also has some minor acting experience. Rogan’s podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, is what launched him to fame in the late 2000s. The podcast features an array of guests who discuss current events, politics, philosophy, comedy, hobbies, and numerous other topics (inquisitr.com).

Here is a list of some recent guests on JRE (within music):

JRE on Spotify

On May 19, 2020, Rogan announced that he had signed a multi-year licensing deal with Spotify, worth an estimated $100M, making it one of the largest licensing agreements in the podcast business. The deal made JRE available on Spotify starting from September 2020 and it will be exclusive to the platform starting from January 2021. Clips from the video version will continue to be available on YouTube. Rogan, subsequently, decided to sell his Los Angeles residence and move to Texas.

“I think that where we live here in Los Angeles is overcrowded. And, I think, most of the time, that’s not a problem. But I think it’s exposing the fact that it’s a real issue when you look at the number of people that are catching COVID because of this overpopulation issue. When you look at the traffic, when you look at the economic dispair, when you look at the homelessness problem that’s accelerated radically over the last seven, ten years, I think there’s too many people here.”Joe Rogan

JRE is now ranked first on Spotify’s Podcast Charts, right above NPR News Now and The New York Times’ The Daily.

#1552 – Kanye West

Rogan is known for being very open-minded to what his guests have to say.

On September 14th, 2020, President Donald Trump (@realDonaldTrump) tweeted that he was willing to have Rogan moderate a debate between Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and himself for the upcoming election. Trump’s willingness to this proposal shows Rogan’s ability to be impartial during organized debate. However, Rogen stated that he would support Bernie Sanders in the primaries.

Though this never came about, it shows the level of unbias that Rogan maintains within his work. I’m sure that he will keep it this way next Friday when he interviews Kanye. Moreover, I am also sure that Ye will have plenty to say because he has been up to a lot lately:

  • Declared fight against Universal Music Group for his masters and likened the music industry to “modern-day slave ships” on his Twitter.
  • Is active on Instagram, once again
  • Oct 16th: Release of new single Nah Nah Nah
  • Is on the official ballot for Vice President under the American Independent Party, though he has influenced voters through Twitter to write him in instead.
