Chadwick Boseman, Best known for his role as King T’challa in ” Black Panther”, Died at 43.
On Friday, his estate took to Instagram and revealed that Chadwick had been battling stage III colon cancer since 2016. The cancer progressed to stage IV by the time of his death.

Boseman had not disclosed details about his personal life including his cancer battle.
In April, fans raised their concerns about Boseman’s health. He was spotted looking visibly thin.
According to his estate, Boseman endured many surgeries in between shooting several films.
“A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much. From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, and several more, all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy”, said his estate via Instagram.
Boseman played many major roles in his career including James Brown in “Get on up (2014), Thurgood Marshall in “Marshall “(2017), and Jackie Robinson in “43” (2013). He is best known for his role as King T’challa in Marvel’s “Black Panther”. Black Panther won a series of awards including NAACP ” Outstanding motion picture“, Academy Award for “Best Music Original” and many more.
“It was the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther”, said the estate.
Fans, friends, and co-stars of Boseman took to social media to pay tribute. Hashtags such as #RIPchadwickboseman,#RIPKING, and the infamous #wakandaforever have been trending since Friday.
Angela Bassett, Black Panther Costar, took to Instagram sharing an emotional tribute to Boseman.

Boseman died in his home with his wife and family according to the Associated Press.
“The family thanks you for your love and prayers, and asks that you continue to respect their privacy during this difficult time”, said the estate.
