Cha’Keeta B is the Total Package
The saying that goes, “Everything is bigger in Texas” is only partially true for this pint-sized beauty. What she lacks in actual stature, she more than makes up for in skill, presence, confidence, and most importantly bars!- the total package! Lauren Riggins, otherwise known to her truest of fans as Cha’keeta Banita is a monster on the mic. She’s at the forefront of one of America’s best kept secrets: Austin, Texas’s burgeoning hip-hop scene. She’s been holding it down in Central Texas for a few years now, putting in solid work underground with songs like “2 Can Play That Game” featuring Nubia Emmon in 2017 and “Flex”, “Fall Back” featuring Alesia Lani from her debut album, “2 Incomparable” in 2018.
Cha’keeta B drops Lover’s Lane with lead single, “Pull Up”
On Valentine’s Day 2020 she released her smash EP, “Lover’s Lane” with it’s lead single, ” Pull Up” featuring Kiki Ambrose. On the EP she steps into her own, unleashing her razor-sharp flow and seductive lyrics onto the world. She attacks every track with the ferocity of a battle rapper, yet she’s as smooth as a crooner. “Lover’s Lane” contains 3 songs and all of them are bangers from start to finish. Look out for more music from her in the future. Right now she’s one of the select few carrying torch for Austin hip-hop.
